This major, ‘Turbocharging Growth Summit’, will bring together the North’s sharpest political, educational, economic and cultural minds to talk about how a fully devolved Northern Powerhouse could hold the key to unlocking growth, productivity and opportunity for its people and places and deliver real change; NPEESS26 is about how we tackle prevailing inequalities, increase social mobility and bridge the skills and productivity gaps in all parts of the North.
The North’s Metro Mayors are doing things differently; from MBACC in Greater Manchester, to enterprise zones in West Yorkshire, Liverpool’s Life Science Powerhouse, and South Yorkshire’s Plan for Good Growth. The North’s Mayors are blazing their own trails and driving their ambitions to ensure that all children have the best start in life, that young people can make the choices and have the skills they need to access future jobs and the North’s people and places are not left behind. NPEESS26 is all about how we boost prosperity, improve social mobility and create opportunity for the North’s people and places.
